Masvingo abandons Mnangagwa, calls for him to be replaced by Grace

Masvingo Province has moved a motion for Zanu PF second secretary and Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa to be expelled from the party and replaced by Grace Mugabe. The motion was moved by secretary for security, Retired Colonel Johannes Masanganise and was adopted by all the members who attended the  provincial coordinating committee meeting today. Masvingo is perceived to be Mnangagwa’s stronghold.

The Masvingo Minister of State who is also serving as Zanu-PF Masvingo vice chairman Dr Paul Chimedza said everyone in the province should always bear in mind that there is one centre of power.

Masvingo Province’s secretary for administration Denford Masiya also announced that they have put prohibition orders on all members of the province who were backing Mnangagwa’s agenda to usurp power. Masiya also said they will write to the national executive to consider expelling Josiah Hungwe, Clarence Makwarimba, Ezra Chadzamira, Lovemore Matuke and Paul Mangwana, who are accused of backing Mnangagwa.
