Pride Tadiwanashe Mafira a student at Chinotimba Primary School in Victoria Falls will represent Zimbabwe at the Paralympic Games in Portugal next months. Pride will compete in the 100m race, high jump and shot put at the International Wheelchair and Amputees Sports Federation World Athletics Championship which will run from November 30 to December 6.
In April, Pride scooped gold in the 100m race and silver in the high jump at the Nedbank National Championships for the physically disabled in South Africa.
The invitation letter from the Portugal games reads:
