Grace Mugabe Buys 55 Hectare Borrowdale Plot for US$4.2 million

First Lady Grace Mugabe is reported to have bought a US$4,2 million Borrowdale Plot. The plot which measures 55 hectares belonged to Harare man Jan Teede and overlooks President Robert Mugabe’s “Blue Roof” mansion. The first lady bought the property in November 2016. Grace also bought a R45 million property located at Number 37 Killarney Road in Sandton, South Africa. Sandton is the most affluent area in South Africa. She recently bought herself a Rolls Royce Ghost for an estimated R6 million after her son Russell Goreraza imported 2 Rolls Royce cars reported to be worth millions. The first lady has been on a spending spree despite the fact that her family business Gushungo Holdings’ Alpha and Omega Dairies has been performing poorly. The company is reported to be making perennial loses since 2013.

Speaking to the weekly publication, the Independent, Teede said:

Full payment has been made, but the property has not yet been transferred. This, however, is imminent.

The house itself is a fairly humble dwelling, but on a large and valuable property (55 hectares) that I purchased in 1983. I was in the process of commencing a housing development on it, (approx 73 plots, with sub-division rights granted) when I received an offer for the entire property.
