Gumbura thanks govt for introducing 'prison family visits' after reuniting with entire family
Robert Martin Gumbura the former leader of RMG Independent End Time Message who was convicted of rape has thanked the government for introducing the prison family visits. Gumbura managed to reunite with his family which consists of 21 wives and 34 children for two days to discuss and make plans in privacy. Gumbura is serving a 40-year sentence for rape at Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison.
His appeal against conviction was recently dismissed by High Court judges Justices Charles Hungwe and Edith Mushore.
Speaking on the prison family visits Gumbura said:
Prisoners are happy with the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) and the government for this move.
