Speaking during a memorial service for the late national heroine, Shuvai Mahofa, Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa confirmed that he was poisoned during a Zanu-PF rally held in Gwanda.
Mnangagwa is on record denying that he consumed ice cream from Gushungo Dairy. Said Mnangagwa:
I was not around when she passed away but what happened to her in 2015 in Victoria Falls is what also happened to me in Gwanda. So on the 12th of August, I was taken to hospital. I was taken from Gwanda to Gweru and I can’t remember what followed. The following Wednesday when I regained consciousness, that is when I learnt on the passing on of Cde Mahofa,

If the President says he was poisoned wherever, the genuineness of his complaint can only be accepted by opening a case with the law people. Whether there is evidence or not, a charge should be made against whoever is suspected of having attempted or done so.
This should be the same with all people suspected of having corruptly defrauded the Government and the people of Zimbabwe.
It is entirely up to the President and the lawman to forgive those charged as it appears most of us in the Government either corrupted and or failed, as a vicarious responsibility, to control such criminal acts.
