Zimbabwean Student wins award at the ITU 2017 Telecom Conference in South Korea

Zimbabwean student and entrepreneur Clive Nyapokoto of Shift Organics has won the Excellence Award at the ongoing International Telecommunication Union (ITU) 2017 conference in Busan, South Korea. Nyapokoto was one of only two Zimbabwean exhibitors at the event together with Tawanda Chikosi of Road Rules Clive is a final year Software Engineering student at the Harare Institute of Technology. In the past, he scooped the Energy Globe National Award 2016 after his Vermicompost – Vermi-Aquaponics (VA) System project was honoured by Advantage Austria, the official Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) which recognizes successful project in green technologies.

The ITU Telecom World Awards recognize excellence in SMEs and large companies worldwide working to provide innovative solutions with real social impact.
