Mangudya says RBZ has done all it promised and needs government to do the same

Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) governor John Mangudya has seemingly blamed the government for the economic crisis in Zimbabwe after claiming that the RBZ has done all it had set out to do. He said that the RBZ is waiting for the government to do the same. Said Mangudya:

We have done everything we promised as monetary authorities and await corresponding movement on the fiscal side.

The issue is about confidence and we need confidence building policy measures to win this war.We need to remove the ambiguity in the market.

This economy has been on the rebound. We have actually increased foreign currency allocation for basic commodities and fuel. There is no need for panic.
