Former Minister Rugare Gumbo accused of double selling combine harvester

Former Cabinet Minister and one of the elders of Zimbabwe People First Rugare Gumbo is facing charges of theft of trust property. This comes after Gumbo allegedly sold a combine harvester to Christopher Jamu for $27 000 in February before reselling the same property to another buyer for $30 000.

Gumbo showed up at the Harare Magistrate’s Court being led by a police officer from Malborough Police Station. However, Gumbo did not enter the courtroom after regional prosecutor Michael Reza returned the docket to the police station for further management.
