Members of women’s organisation, Katswe Sistahood, were arrested and detained by the Zimbabwe Republic Police at Harare Central Police Station after they aired a video in which they interviewed a 9-year old girl who was allegedly involved engaged in prostitution in Epworth. The women were charged with communicating false information which is prejudicial to the state.
Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) dispatched lawyer Tinashe Mundawarara to offer emergency legal services to the women. They are yet to appear in court
