I am trained to heal people and not to harm them: Sekeramayi denies poisoning Mnangagwa

Minister of Defence, Dr Sydney Sekeramayi has denied allegations that he was one of the people who were behind the alleged poisoning of VicePresident Emmerson Mnangagwa arguing that his professional training did not allow him to kill people. In an interview, Sekeramayi firmly denied the allegations which were made by former Zanu-PF activist and Mnangagwa loyalist Energy Mutodi. Mutodi has since been expelled from the party for making the remarks.

Speaking to The Standard, Sekeramayi said:

You cannot accuse me of poisoning the vice-president. I am professionally trained to heal people and not to kill people. So when you accuse me of the very opposite, it’s not correct.

he main actor there was the minister of health, Dr [David]Parirenyatwa.
