In an interview with The Herald, Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Prisca Mupfumira revealed that civil servants will receive their 2017 bonus next year starting in February 2018.
Said Mupfumira:
Government has taken a position, 2017 bonuses will be paid. We are not going to make a once-off payment, we are going to stagger again and we hope to start earlier. Provisionally, we want to begin in February. The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development is working hard to make this achievable. We have concluded the issue together with the Finance Minister (Patrick Chinamasa).

February has come and gone with nothing for the first batch but the masses were misled, as ussual, to believe that $176 million is there for bonuses.
