Grand Coalition: Mujuru gives Tsvangirai conditions

National People’s Party led by Joice Mujuru has given MDC-T conditions in which it will join them and form a coalition ahead of the 2018 elections.

The conditions were released by NPP’s former spokesperson Jealousy Mawarire. Below are some of the conditions:

2. Further, NPP remains committed to the formation of a genuine, democratic, inclusive and people driven coalition with MDC-T based on the following conditions;

A.Such envisaged coalition must have a common name, logo, symbol and slogan which is not in anyway related to the marketing gimmick of a single political party.

B. Further , NPP believes that the question of seat allocation and distribution be it for members of House of Assembly, senate and local government candidates can be easily resolved amongst coalescing political partners with the involvement of the political parties’ structures’ membership.

C. NPP also believes that the question of who shall ultimately lead the coalition as the Presidential candidate can be resolved by consulting membership of the political parties involved through an agreed consensus building approach by the parties.

Recently Mujuru said that she will not join coalition until the MDC name is removed from MDC Alliance (READ STORY HERE).
