Chombo speaks on Zanu-PF succession

Zanu-PF secretary for administration Ignatius Chombo who was the guest of honour at the solidarity march held in honour of first lady Grace Mugabe, spoke on Zanu-PF succession and said that those who want to lead the party will have to wait for the next congress in 2019.

Said Chombo:

The decision of who will lead the revolutionary party was made in 2014 at the party’s elective congress where Cde Mugabe was endorsed as the party’s candidate for the 2018 elections. Those who aspire to hold the highest position in the party should wait for the next congress in 2019.

He also discouraged Zanu-PF members of using social media to discuss party issues and said:

Kana pane zvinonetsa muparty hatimhanye kusocial media, let’s use the proper channels.
