Govt to embark on mobile registration program from Monday in preparation of 2018 elections

 

Registrar General (RG),  Tobaiwa Mudede announced that the government will be starting a mobile registration exercise for all Zimbabwean citizens starting on Monday, 4 September. The exercise will end on 30 November 2017 and people will be able to get birth certificates, death certificates as well as national identity cards. Mudede revealed that metal identity cards will not be accepted for voting as they are not machine readable and will need to be replaced.
