Susan Kafata (38) of Mkoba, Gweru appeared before Magistrate Elizabeth Magomore asking for $315 per month as maintenance from her ex-husband Dube Moyo. The two who are both blind, have five children together. The children are aged, 5, 7, 10, 13, and 16. Kafata claimed that Dube earned more than $50 a month from begging and that he owned a house from which he collected rentals. Moyo did not turn up at court to represent himself.
Magistrate Magomore ordered Moyo to start paying $50 a month as maintenance.
