Muzenda suggested to Mugabe that Mnangagwa must be the next president: Mliswa

Norton MP Temba Mliswa has come out to dispute President Robert Mugabe’s narrative that Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa chased away the late Vice President Simon Muzenda from Gweru (Read Story Here).

Mliswa states that Muzenda and Mnangagwa were on good terms to the extent that he suggested that Mnangagwa must be the next president. In a series of tweets Mliswa says:

  2. The word honourable need a bit of explanation to the people of Zimbabwe. What do we mean when we say Honourable. What type of person is honoured and why.
    Why would the late, Father Muzenda impose leadership on Zimbabweans.
    Who was there when the father said Munangagwa should take over from Mugabe.
    These statements should never be said in public by people who are honoured.
    This is not the right time to confront people about the mismanagement of Zimbabwean economy. First things first.
    Let us put the leadership in place first. It is a shame to be told off by the Home Secretary and this was because there is no leadership to back one’s move.
    It’s like accusing the President and his cabinet.
    We are in a rush.
