Prosecutor General aspirant Peter Mufunda was disqualified by a panel of seven commissioners from the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), led by Chief Justice Luke Malaba. He was disqualified because he lacked 10 years experience as a legal practitioner as required by the Constitution.
Speaking to ZBC News, the JSC confirmed that they have completed the interviews and will now forward the names of the three successful candidates for consideration by the executive.
