Last week, Magistrate Barbara Mateko issued the warrant of arrest for Elias Musakwa for failing to appear in court to answer for the charges levelled against him by his neighbour Kennedy Mudukuti (28) who alleged that he threatened to shoot him after he was asked to lower the volume of his radio. He is being charged with contravening section 186 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act.
Allegations are that in September 2016, Mudukuti approached Ruwa Police and complained that Musakwa caused a lot of noise during a function which was held at his house. After the police came and cautioned him for the offence, Musakwa verbally threatened Mudukuti and was recorded saying:
Ndikakuuraya I will come nababa vako ukapota uchidisturber mafunctions angu, ndinokupfura nepfuti, hamundizive uye hamuzivi vanhu vanondiziva, ivhu rangu iri rawakatsika.
