South African advocate and prosecutor Gerrie Nel who has offered to support Gabriella Engels and her family after her alleged assault by First Lady Grace Mugabe, has revealed that a third party has approached the family with offers for financial compensation for them to drop the charges. Advocate Nel revealed that no amount was specifically mentioned but that the third party had revealed their willingness to pay. Nel also added that they were going to give the South African Authorities a reasonable period of time, approximately three months to take action, before deciding on what course of action to take.
