Victoria Falls hotel occupancy up by 25 percent

Hotel operators in Victoria Falls have reported an increase of 25,4 percent in room occupancies for the half year ending June 30, compared to the same period last year. The better than expected half year figures have been attributed partly to the recently commissioned $150 million Victoria Falls international airport. Kenya Airways and Ethiopian Ethiopian Airways have introduced direct flights to Victoria Falls from Nairobi and Addis Ababa respectively. Rwandan Airlines and Turkish Airlines have also indicated that they may be flying directly to the Victoria Falls International Airport soon.
