Grace did not flee S.A, reported to be lying low waiting for President Mugabe to arrive for Sadc meeting

Contrary to multiple reports that First Lady Grace Mugabe had fled South Africa after she allegedly assaulted South African model Gabriella Engels and failed to turn up for court, it is believed that she is actually in South Africa where she is lying low. She is reported to be waiting for her husband, Robert Mugabe who will be attending the 37th summit of the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Mugabe is expected to chair a cabinet meeting today, before heading for South Africa.

Legal advisors are reported to have advised Grace Mugabe not to flee from South Africa because she could be declared a fugitive, making it near-impossible for her to visit that country again. Source close to the first family said

She (Grace) is still in South Africa. She had been told to wait until President Mugabe arrives in South Africa where he is scheduled to attend this week’s Sadc summit. It really wouldn’t have made sense for her to flee to Zimbabwe yet President Mugabe is travelling to South Africa. The president (Mugabe) will attend to the matter as soon as he arrives in South Africa
