Grace Mugabe to appear in court over assault case after handing herself over to the South African Police

 

First Lady Grace Mugabe is reported to have handed herself to the South African Police Services at Sandton Police Station. She is expected to appear in court at Wynberg Magistrate’s Court at 1 pm after she allegedly assaulted South African Woman, Gabriella Engels (20),  who she found in the company of her sons Robert Jr and Chatunga Bellarmine.  It has been reported that Grace may not be covered by diplomatic immunity because she was in South Africa on private business.

South African Police Minister Fikile Mbalula confirmed that Grace had not been arrested because she had handed herself over to the police.

Engels is reported to have laid charges against Grace Mugabe at Morningside Police Station earlier on today.
