Zimbabwean cooking oil too expensive to export
Oil Expressers Association of Zimbabwe (OEAZ), a lobby group representing seven cooking oil producers said that Zimbabwe’s cooking oil is 45% more expensive which makes it difficult to export.
Speaking to The Herald yesterday, OEAZ president Mr Busisa Moyo said:
We have saturated the local market and all the players are now looking at exporting the surplus. It is a natural progression but our biggest challenge is our product will be 45 percent more expensive and that is why we are pushing for internal devaluation to be competitive.
