Chinese firm to build low-cost houses which take 7-10 days to construct

Chinese company, China Industrial International Group (CIIG), will build 5 000 low-cost houses across the country. The houses will be targeted at low-income earners and will take between 7 and 10 days to construct. CIIG has completed demo houses in Bindura and built school blocks in Shurugwi, Zvishavane and an orphanage in Hatcliffe, using the same technology.

CIIG project manager Mr Bishop Jeche said:

We reckoned that people might not have money to pay. So we have agreed with some financial institutions that clients pay their instalments through these banks. The response from people is overwhelming.
