Mphoko avoids commenting on succession issue, says question was asked in Shona

Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko who also serves as Minister of National Healing, Peace and Reconciliation avoided answering Nelson Chamisa’s question on the implication of First Lady Grace Mugabe’s announcement that President Robert Mugabe should name a successor.

Mphoko said he could not answer the question since the bulk of it was asked in Shona. He handed over the question to Emmerson Mnangagwa who said that the succession issue is a Zanu-PF and not a Government issue. Said Mphoko:

Thank you Hon. Speaker, I am not privileged because the bulk of his questions were in Shona.  I want to handover to my colleague, thank you.
