MDC-T dismisses report it has temporarily shut down Harvest House HQ & is holding meetings at Tsvangirai's home
MDC-T national spokesperson Obert Gutu dismissed The Herald’s claim and invited the publication to come for a tour of Harvest House today. Said Gutu:
I was actually dealing with my team at Harvest House today. Things are okay and this is a minor setback. We are Zimbabwe’s biggest political party and if Sally Dura and detractors thought that they were going to stifle our operations then they got it completely wrong. We are up and about. We have millions of supporters and well-wishers in Zimbabwe. Some of these things are just rumours.
The Herald reports that MDC-T has temporarily shut down its Harvest House headquarters following the attachment of property by the Sheriff of the High Court to recover $108 000 owed to a former employee, Ms Sally Dura. Sources who spoke to the publication said that the party is holding its national executive and standing committee meetings at Morgan Tsvangirai’s house in Highlands. The source also claims that MDC-T removed furniture that is in good condition from Harvest House and locked some of it in other offices before the Sheriff came.
