China looking at importing oranges, avocados and road runners from Zimbabwe

Chinese Ambassador Mr Huang Ping has said that his government is looking at importing organic farm produce from Zimbabwe and will be sending a delegation to carry out research.  Speaking at the Midlands Agricultural Society Expo in Gweru, Ambassador Huang said:

With a large population of 1.3 billion people, China has huge demand for organic agricultural food.

A delegation from China is expected to come and conduct a research on the exportation of oranges to China.

When we take a look at the avocados exported from Mexico to China, they sell for up to $2, which shows that they are on demand.

There is a high demand for road runners and in the Chinese market they are priced at $25 each. Locals should take this into consideration as they should strive to supply such products and again consider the relationship they have with China.
