Cheating Methodist Reverend sentenced to community service for driving with woman’s husband clinging on bonnet

Eliot Chikwenjere (47) a United Methodist Reverend who was caught in the company of a married woman and drove his car with the husband clinging to the bonnet was found guilty of assault. Magistrate Mr Temba Kuwanda dismissed the charge of attempted murder after noting that the husband, David Gwarazimba, jumped onto the bonnet. Magistrate Kuwanda sentenced Chikwenjere to 525 hours of community service.

According to the prosecution, in June, Gwarazimba who already suspected his wife, Patience Tambudza, of cheating on him with the Reverend saw the two two kissing in Chikwenjere’s car around midday. He allegedly charged towards the car and when Chikwenjere saw him he started the car and hit Gwarazimba who fell onto the bonnet. He drove on until Gwarazimba fell onto the tarmac.
