Zanu-PF members approached me to march against Mnanagwa but I said no: Grace Mugabe

First Lady Grace Mugabe revealed that some members approached her to march against Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa but she said no.

Said Mugabe:

Pane imwe nguva yandikambofonerwa nevamwe vanhu gore rakapera zvikanzi handei mustreet tonobvisa VaMnangagwa, Va Mnangagwa ndikavaudza ava, ndikunyepa? (Some Zanu-PF members called me last year and said, ‘Lets march against Mnangagwa.’ I told Mnangagwa, am I lying?)

But inini ndikaconfronter vanhu ivavo kuti munoda kuti tibvise vaMnangagwa, tisu here takambova appointa pachinzvimbo ichochi? (But I confronted those people and asked them “you want us to remove Mnangagwa are we the ones who appointed him to his position?’) Tikaenda mustreet tikaita ruzha, it means we are insulting the President because he is the appointing authority. (If we go and march against Mnangagwa it will be an insult ti the President because he is the appointing authority), Ndikaramba. VaMnangagwa vakaappointwa naPresident to be Vice-President. Saka inini ndikaita mudzimai wavo (President) I have no mandate ndoungana nevanhu ndoenda mustreet kunovabvisa, hazviite. (I said No. Mnangagwa was appointed by the President. So as the President’s wife I have to support my husband’s decision.}
