Benjani Mwaruwari scouting for talent at grassroots level
Former Warriors captain and Manchester City striker Benjani Mwaruwari has revealed that he is scouting for football talent and that he will not be focusing on urban areas. Speaking at the Mberengwa West Constituency MP Sports Gala, Mwaruwari said:
The time to give the country the next big player is now. I’m actually here to search for the next Peter Ndlovu, the next Norman Mapeza, the next Moses Chunga, the next George Shaya. They will come from here.
I’m very glad that I’m here and we looking for players we can give opportunities like those accorded to the ones in the urban areas.
