Vimbaishe Musvaburi to challenge MDC-T's Eddie Cross for Bulawayo South

Last Friday (July 21), Vimbaishe Musvaburi announced that she will stand as an independent candidate in Bulawayo South in the 2018 general elections. The constituency is currently held by Eddie Cross (MDC-T).

In an interview with The Chronicle, Musvaburi said she is the rightful candidate for the constituency which she said has an alcohol abuse and addiction problem. Said Musvaburi:

I know I have the ears to listen and definitely the capability to act upon issues, our issues and bring change to our communities. The youth in this constituency spend time at liquor stores drowning their sorrows in alcohol. As a matter of fact, we are now facing an extra problem which is alcohol abuse and addiction. I’m the rightful candidate because I’m for change.
