MDC-T to fire councillor for voting for Zanu PF in a secret ballot

A probe team led by MDC-T Midlands North provincial deputy secretary for local government, Tendai Kokera, recommended that Kwekwe councillor, Aaron Gwalazimba be recalled for voting for Zanu-PF’s John Mapurazi in a secret ballot held in June to choose a replacement for the late deputy mayor Aaron Sithole.

MDC-T had suspended all of its 6 councillors before the probe team found Gwalazimba guilty. When contacted by NewsDay for a comment, Gwalazimba referred all questions to provincial secretary Felix Zifunze, who confirmed that the probe team had completed investigations but was yet to appraise the provincial executive.
