Zifa president and flamboyant businessman Phillip Chiyangwa has been appointed the chairman of a new bloc of 31 countries made up of the member associations in COSAFA, CECAFA and the Northern Zone. Chiyangwa was appointed to this new role at the Confederations of African Football (CAF) meeting in Morocco. The new role means that Chiyangwa is now the Chief Whip of CAF, who will work to mobilise voters during crucial debates and votes.
