Min gives white farmer 24 hours to leave farm, threatens to shoot him, says he does not follow court orders

Stephen Worswick a farmer from Marondera has filed an application seeking a protection order at the High court after alleging that Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Edgar Mbwebwe threatened to shoot him.  According to Worswick, Mbwebwe gave him a 24-hour ultimatum to leave his farm and threatened to shoot him if he resisted.  The minister is further accused of having bragged that he did not take orders from the courts and is reported to have hired thugs to threaten and intimidate Worswick.

This comes after President Mugabe threatened a new wave of farm invasions at his first Youth Interface Rally in Marondera.  Mugabe threatened to seize all white owned farms in Mashonaland East claiming that former Minister of State Ray Kaukonde had protected the white farmers.
