Former Finance Minister and leader of opposition People’s Democratic Party leader Tendai Biti has said that one of President Robert Mugabe’s legacies will be that of promoting criminals and looters. Addressing his supporters recently, Biti said:
The biggest arrogance and mistake of Robert Mugabe is the way he has affected our value system; is the way he has affected our Ubuntu, is the way he has diminished and delegitimized the dignity of hard work.
It is the false and fake illusion that we suddenly start to think that the likes of Wicknell Chivayo and Philip Chiyangwa are the new heroes of the day.
Even Zanu PF itself is a consortium of looters and criminals
Biti added that after the end of the Mugabe era, Zimbabweans will need to morally rearm themselves.
