In an interview with the ZBC News on Tuesday, Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) chairperson Willia Bonyongwe said that they expect to collect US$3.7 billion this year due to a tight monitoring system and improved compliance with tax principles by industry and commerce.
Said Bonyongwe:
While the increased revenue collections might mean an improvement in the general macro-economic conditions, the authority will, however, not relax in its quest to increase revenues.
Bonyongwe said that they are looking on making sure small to medium enterprises pay tax.
