Mujuru to sign MoU with Biti
Speaking to The Herald yesterday, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) spokesperson Jacob Mafume and National People’s Party (NPP) interim spokesperson and secretary general designate Mr Gift Nyandoro separately confirmed that Tendai Biti and Joice Mujuru will sign a Memorandum of Understanding.
Said Mafume:
We have a draft agreement that we have come up with but there was a mix up that some people invited journalists before we finalise certain things. We are going to sign it any day, any minute from now. My principal (Mr Biti) and NPP principal (Dr Mujuru) were expected to meet today.
FeedbackSaid Nyandoro:
We were expecting to have a signing ceremony with PDP today as anticipated. I am yet to get a clarification from our PDP colleagues on what happened.

The Herald reports that Mujuru’s decision to sign a coalition with Biti has been necessitated by the fact that she cannot agree with Morgan Tsvangirai on aspects such as leadership and division of constituencies.
