Nssa increases pensioners' monthly allowances by 33 percent

The National Social Security Authority (Nssa) has increased the minimum monthly allowance given to pensioners by 33 percent from $60 to $80. The increase was approved by Labour Minister Prisca Mupfumira.

In a statement, the authority said:

I am pleased to report that consistent with this promise, the board approved a 33,33 percent increase in the minimum retirement pension from $60 to $80 per month effective  October 1, 2017,
