Take off your camouflage, join politics and I will dress you down: Zhuwao challenges generals

President Robert Mugabe’s nephew and Minister of Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Patrick Zhuwao has challenged Commander Defence FForces(CDF) General Constantino Chiwenga and Commander of the Air Force of Zimbabwe (AFZ), Air Marshal Perrance Shiri take off the camouflage and enter politics if they are interested in civilian matters. He said that the duo and other military officers should stop interfering in civilian matters otherwise. This comes after General Chiwenga threatened to deal with Professor Jonathan Moyo for attacking Command Agriculture and Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Air Marshall Shiri joined in attacking  Moyo, saying that he had deserted the war. He also accused  Moyo of collaborating with  Rhodesia’s Selous Scout.

Said Zhuwao:

I do not recall the military accusing me of anything apart from the vacuous nincompoop who sought to threaten me near Inkomo Barracks.

Such cowardly individuals must retire their uniforms and join the political playing field so that we dress them down properly.

Zhuwao and Prof. Moyo are linked with the G40 Faction which is rabidly opposed to Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa taking over from President Robert Mugabe.
