The Herald has accused Zanu-PF political commissar and Local Government Minister Saviour Kasukuwere of confirming plot to topple President Robert Mugabe.
The State owned newspaper which has been attacking Kasukuwere and ministers that are allegedly aligned to the G40 Faction states that a tweet by the Local Government Minister confirmed the alleged plot to topple Mugabe. In a tweet Kasukuwere wrote:
They have failed completely to understand the sesmic political movement underway . @herald will require a new pair of hands soon . It's on .

The newspaper interprets the tweet as meaning that Kasukuwere is hoping to influence editorial appointments due to the “seismic political movement underway”. The publication states that Kasukuwere switched off his cellphone when contacted for comment regarding the tweet.
