The Dumiso Dabengwa led Zapu party is once again demanding its records which were seized by Zanu PF during the Gukurahundi period. Zanu PF has been accused of rewriting history and focusing on its oexploits while downplaying the role of Zapu. Speaking on the side-lines of a book launch by Professor Arthur Mutambara, in Bulawayo on Thursday, ZAPU spokesperson Iphithule Maphosa said:
We cannot fully express ourselves historically because all our records were confiscated by one-party state proponent Mugabe and his ZANU PF when they embarked on the infamous 20 000 moments of madness in the 1980s.
