Radost Night Club has taken owners of Longchen Plaza in Belvedere to court seeking $150 000 as compensation for loss of business.
Radost states that it recorded a huge loss after Longchen Plaza owners brought in competitors at the complex, who occupied the same floor. Radost pointed out that after renovating a warehouse it entered an agreement with the owners of Longchen that no competing business will be allowed to operate within a reasonable radius from their portion. However, a year later Longchen owners allowed a competing business trading under the name and style 1+1 Happy to open. Radost said that 1+1 Happy’s presence affected business as it took parking space previously reserved for Radost’s VIP patrons. Radost claims that its outside signage was obstructed by that of 1+1 Happy who were allowed to use very bright neon lights
Longchen is yet to respond to the lawsuit.
