Chitembwe hints on quitting CAPS United following defeat to Yadah

Speaking after CAPS United were defeated by Yadah in a match played at Morris Depot this afternoon, head coach Lloyd Chitembwe hinted that he might just quit the club because he is not getting the results. CAPS United’d defeat comes after a CAF Champions League loss to Al Ahly Tripoli.

Chitembwe said that there might be someone better than him for the club. He praised his players who will play Zamalek this weekend in a must win encounter and took all the blame for today’s defeat. Said Chitembwe:

I know the expectation of the team ,the expectation of the players, they gave their all but unfortunately it was never meant to be and at the end of the day it all about the coach. When you are a coach , you have this kind of responsibility, I also look at yourself critically. I think I need to really look at myself and my position very, very critically. This is a great club, it deserves more and better and sometimes you feel if you are not doing what the club deserves you feel like you are not doing what you are supposed to be doing. Maybe out there , there is someone who has the capacity to take the team further . I am very, very happy with how these guys have gone about their business unfortunately it was never meant to be our day.
