Zim couple shot dead in S.A, 1-year old child spared

Mbusi Mhlanga (41) from Bulawayo and his wife were shot dead on Wednesday as they were coming out of their home in Johannesburg, South Africa. His wife’s name is yet to be established. The bodies were discovered on Thursday morning and the South African Police Service were able to locate Mbusi’s relatives using the contact list on his phone. The couple’s one-year-old child was spared. However, the full details of what transpired leading up to the shooting are yet to be discovered.

Mbusi’s father who identified himself only as Mr Mhlanga told the Chronicle:

My other children in South Africa called me saying they had been phoned by police informing them to come to the station as there was an emergency,

The police informed them that there was a man and a woman who were shot dead at their place of residence. They said the police said after scrolling down on the man’s cellphone contact list they came across their numbers. So the police wanted them to assist in the identification of the bodies.
