Kasukuwere orders Harare mayor to suspend MDC-T councillors until their corruption cases are finalised

Local Government Saviour Kasukuwere ordered Harare mayor Bernard Manyenyeni to suspend MDC-T councillors Wilton Janjazi (47), Urayayi Mangwiro (42), Paula Macharangwanda (51) and former councillor, Masiye Kapare (48) together with former Harare treasurer, Misheck Mubvumbi until their corruption cases are finalised by the courts.

They are facing fraud allegations involving $32 million and are out on $400 bail and will be back in court tomorrow. The State alleges that they did not follow proper procedure when they awarded Energy Resources Africa Consortium the tender for the rehabilitation of Firle Sewage Works.
