Details of Advocate Jacob Mudenda’s report on allegations against Zanu-PF national political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere acknowledge the existence of parallel structures. The report also recommended that State security institutions should be deployed to investigate allegations that Kasukuwere plotted to remove Mugabe.
Mudenda’s team also recommended that Zanu PF treasurer Obert Mpofu should investigate allegations that Kasukuwere was a signatory to the party’s provincial bank account. Former Zanu PF politburo member and Shamva North MP, Nicholas Goche and Shamva South MP, Joseph Mapiki told the probe team that they participated in the anti-Kasukuwere demonstration after being told it was a solidarity march in support of Mugabe.
