UFIC begins building Ruthdale High School in Sunningdale

United Family International Church leader Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and his wife Ruth, have begun the construction of a secondary school. The institution will be called Ruthdale High School and it will be the first secondary school in Sunningdale. At the monent, the suburb has no secondary schools. This situation has lead to children walking long distances to attend school at Hatfield Girls High, Mbare High, Harare High, Cranborne Boys or Morgan High School. UFIC also revealed that it was also a way of giving back to the community as Prophet Makandiwa’s wife Ruth Makandiwa used to stay in Sunningdale and had to walk to Mbare to go to school.

The project is an extension of the Agape Family Care, a programme that has seen more than 3 000 scholarships being offered to underprivileged children under the Ruth Makandiwa Scholarship Foundation.

The school which is located along Seke Road will enrol an estimated 1 080 students.
