Harare City Council to screen food handlers, urge residents to avoid unlicensed places

City of Harare Health Director Dr Prosper Chonzi has said that the local authority will be conducting medical tests on food handlers operating in food outlets throughout the city. According to Dr Chonzi, the tests will determine if individuals are carriers of any harmful pathogenic organisms. Dr Chonzi also said there were a number of outlets operating illegally throughout the city and urged people to avoid these as they may have inadequate hygiene measures.
