BVR cannot be manipulated, don't worry about Chinese: Tsvangirai reassures supporters

MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai has told his supporters not to worry about the awarding of the tender for the Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) kits to Chinese firm Laxton Group. Tsvangirai moved to reassure his supporters saying that they need not worry about the Chinese manipulating the election as they have previously worked with the United Nations.

Addressing supporters at Mkoba Stadium in Gweru on Saturday, said

The BVR machines are coming; we are the ones who pressurized government to use the BVR system because we want to remove the dead who vote and stop those who vote multiple times.

BVR is going to stop that and I tell you it cannot be manipulated. Do not doubt just because it’s the Chinese supplying them, these Chinese have worked with the United Nations in other nations so let us not doubt just because it’s the Chinese and think we will be rigged, do not fear.
