ZIFA & Magaya resolve differences, prophet to pay each player $1 000

The Herald reports that PHD Ministries founder Walter Magaya and ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa met and resolved their differences after interim coach Norman Mapeza excused himself from joining the rest of the team at the PHD church service.

The publication also reports that Magaya also heard from Mapeza who explained why he chose to go to Zvishavane instead of attending the service. Magaya also promised to fulfill his pledge to pay each player $1 000 for winning against Liberia. Said Magaya:

I’m still standing with the surprise gesture to the Warriors of the $1 000. I said it live on TV so I will give them the $1 000. But what I’m saying is until I speak to the president and Mpandare for now as I stand I don’t want to disturb their peace because my aim was peace.
